The “Speaking Object” project first came into existence 6 years ago as an answer to the lack of sufficient accessible and up-to-date learning material for scholars and students of Art History, who need to know how to read ancient or relatively forgotten scripts. The only available resources on this subject are written data, which are sometimes hard to access due to the fact that books go out of print soon; or in the case of articles, they are short specific texts that are not that much help to the juniors in this field to learn how to read a script. To add to the situation, it should be considered that day by day the newer generations feel written documents are boring and they seek more modern ways to learn from. So, to answer all these needs, the “Speaking Object” project was born to provide easy-to-access and modern learning materials for them as much as possible. The method here is easy, they just need to know the language, which for students and scholars is a must, and then they can watch a lot of videos for every script to get familiar with the writing system itself, different handwriting and the complexity of different styles. Also, for 3D objects, they can use AR or VR apps to explore a ton of museum objects all in one place at the ease of their homes.
